I am an Associate Professor in Economics & Policy at the Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge, and the Deputy Director of the Cambridge Executive MBA programme. I am also a Fellow in Economics at King’s College, Cambridge, where I co-founded and direct the King’s Entrepreneurship Lab. My main areas of research include climate change, economics of the Middle East, energy economics and applied macroeconomics. My research has been published in a number of edited volumes as well as in leading academic journals, and has been covered in major international news outlets. My work has been cited extensively by policymakers, including by members of the United States Congress. I am currently a consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank and have previously served as a consultant at the Asian Development Bank, a Departmental Special Advisor at the Bank of Canada, a consultant at the United Nations, and a regular visiting scholar at the International Monetary Fund. I have also worked extensively on issues related to climate change and sustainability with both the public sector and a number of organisations including BCG, BNP Paribas, KPMG and RMS.
